Welcome to Bluebonnet Season

Did you hear? it’s Bluebonnet season!

Kaylee sitting in Bluebonnets makes me smile. Here are more dogs in Bluebonnets.

To answer your question…yes. We have bluebonnets! Did you hear THAT internet? StarHill Farms has bluebonnets and you can come enjoy them at your pleasure! Yayyyy!

The wet weather days from the past year brought suspense and excitement to the Texas wildflower lovers out there, for GOOD reason. This year, the Bluebonnets look amazing. (At least at StarHill, they do!) We’re taking our Texas squats and sharing photos with friends and family.

Not only do we have Bluebonnets, but our surrounding area is known for them, growing in “prime” locations, like behind the Home Depot and the La Quinta in Brenham, for example. (Remember to #lookbeforeyousquat, to be mindful to find #publicproperty and to be safe if stopping on #TexasHighways.) Of course, if you’re looking for a more curated bluebonnet experience, come out to the farm.

Here’s how to Enjoy Bluebonnets at the Farm:

· Book a Stay at StarHill in the Spring. Bluebonnets come around between March-May. If you want to come now, you will definitely see them. If you want to book for next year, these are the dates to target. I’d say mid-April is a definite for real bluebonnet overwhelm.

· Walk the farm and take some photos. If you’re new to Texas, try searching “Texas Bluebonnet Squat” to see how this tradition is done.

· Plan to attend the Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival – you’re sure to see bluebonnets and there are lots of fun vendors and crafts to see at the festival as well. Happening this year on April 13 & 14 2019.

· Professional Photos and Filming. If you’re looking to book a photoshoot or need an interesting, scenic, Texas log-cabin ranch backdrop, contact us and we can set aside time for you and your photographer to come out and take photos. If you’re recently engaged, about to graduate from school, pregnant or celebrating another life celebration, the farm makes for a unique backdrop to accent those special moments. We’ve had fun experiences with film crews and photographers taking advantage of the historic cabins and colorful wildflowers over the last few years and welcome more.
